Ever had an interest in seeing yourself on the silver screen? Your chance is this weekend!
The director of Geeks vs. Bikers is looking for 8 to 10 scooterists to be extras in the movie. A trailer is being filmed this Saturday (9/25). You will be given an awesome T-shirt for your time.
If you are unable to make it this weekend, then just keep in mind that production on this movie starts in November so another opportunity will be available for those who want to participate.
Agenda
3:00 PM: Meet at Ross’ Old Time Cafe at 11800 N Lamar Blvd. Filming will take place in the parking lot and at Mickey’s Bar in the same shopping center.
4:30 PM: That’s a wrap!

The intense summer heat is starting to ease up, so a group ride is in order. We will take back roads to The Oasis, enjoy the sunset over Lake Travis, and head back to Austin proper before nightfall.
View a map of the ride here and decide whether or not you feel comfortable enough with your skill level. This is one of the most technically challenging rides that has been offered by ASC and is limited to scooters that can maintain 45-50 mph. The route has a great deal of curvy roads, so please ride with caution.
Mary will be leading the ride on her red Stella. Please wear your helmet.
Agenda
4:15 PM: Meet at Phil’s Icehouse at 5620 Burnet Rd for delicious hamburgers.
5:15 PM: Ride out.
6:45PM: Arrive at The Oasis. We’ll grab a quick drink and take in the view of Lake Travis.
7:30 PM: Head back into town before it gets too dark.
8:45 PM: End at Pour House Pub at 6701 Burnet Rd to close out the ride.
