In-town BBQ ride this Sunday

ASC doesn’t always have to leave Travis County to get good BBQ, and this Sunday is no exception. After lunch, we’ll head south and cruise around McKinney Falls State Park. This ride is meant for 125cc and above scooters.

Agenda

11am: Meet at Franklin BBQ for some of the most-hyped BBQ in town. Franklin BBQ is located at 3421 N IH-35.
Noon: Kickstands up. If you plan to eat lunch, please try to arrive early.
3pm: Cruise back into town and grab coffee at Ruta Maya on S Congress.

Mary will be leading the ride, so keep an eye out for her red Stella at the meet up location. Ask her for a vinyl sticker or two. Please wear your helmet!

No Third Friday Ride this week

The Third Friday ride will be postponed this week.  Rain has been predicted for Friday, so I would rather not  take the chance of having to cancel plans at the last minute.  Ride safe and stay dry.

BBQ Ride to Lockhart this Sunday

The Third Friday ride for March has been canceled due to SXSW, Spring Break, and March Madness amongst other things. We will be having  a BBQ ride this Sunday afternoon.

smittyslockhart BBQ Ride to Lockhart this Sunday

What does Austin Scooter Club love more than trailer park food? Barbecue and trekking to small towns to eat said barbecue. We will be riding out to Lockhart again on Sunday. We had so much fun last year and would also like to test a possible route for the upcoming rally.

Agenda

9:30 AM: Meet at Jo’s Coffee at 1300 S Congress Ave.
10:30 AM: Helmets on and kickstands up. The group will be heading out at 10:30 sharp, so make sure to be on time. We’ll be eating at Smitty’s or  Black’s. When everyone arrives at Jo’s, we’ll take a vote to see where everyone wants to eat.
12 noon: Arrive in Lockhart and eat some BBQ.
1:30 PM: Head back to Austin.

Eric will be leading the ride on his brown and orange Vespa P200. Please wear your helmet!

If you have any questions or comments, then please post them on the Ride to Lockhart topic in the Forum.

The Austin Scooter Club will be holding an additional ride this Saturday afternoon so we can take advantage of the nice weather. 1 PM: Meet at the brand new Thundercloud at Congress and Alpine near Ruta Maya. Grab a sandwich or bring a packed lunch. We’ll be stopping for a picnic in the park.
1:30 PM: Kickstands up.
4:00 PM: Cruise back into town and grab a beer somewhere central.

Please wear your helmets and keep and eye out for Tim and his black Stella at the meeting spot. We hope to see you there!mckinneyfalls Saturday Afternoon Ride on February 20th
