Antone’s Presents Oddrophenia – Saturday, July 13th

Antone’s is having an event this Saturday (7/13) called Oddrophenia at their new location at 2015 E Riverside. The event will feature a showing of the movie Quadrophenia, a Who tribute band called To Whom, local soul extrodinare DJ Topper James, and a mods vs rockers pie fight. The doors open at 9pm and the show begins at 10pm.

Kim and Gio will be there to welcome scooterists and direct you to the VIP parking for scooters. 8 guest list spots have been reserved for members of the Austin Scooter Club. Luling Group Ride on Saturday for Watermelon Thump

On Saturday, June 29th, Hudson will be leading a ride down to Luling for the annual Watermelon Thump festival. We will arrive before the parade at 10am and go to the Watermelon Thump festival grounds to watch (maybe someone will enter…?) the watermelon eating contest at 1pm and then enjoy other festivities. We will be returning in the late afternoon or early evening, depending on how hot it is and what time everyone wants to be home.

Who: Scooters that can maintain 65 mph and are comfortable riding on 183
What: Ride to Luling for the annual watermelon festival
When: Saturday, June 29th. Meet up at Thunderbird Coffee at 2200 Manor Rd on the east side at 7:45am. The group leaves at 8:30am. We will return to Austin in the late afternoon or early evening, expect 4pm or later, depending on the heat and how early everyone wants to get home.

Admission is free at the time the group will be attending the Thump. More information about the festival are at watermelonthump.com. Mid-Week In-Town Group Ride on Wednesday Night

In case you missed the group ride this past Memorial Day weekend, Eric is leading another ride on Wednesday night (5/29). Meet up at P Terry’s on S Lamar and Barton Springs starting at 6:30pm. The group will leave at 7:30pm. This ride will be comfortable for all scooters so come on out!

Memorial Day Weekend In-Town Ride this Sunday + Our Statesman Article

Eric will be leading a casual ride through the west side of Austin this Sunday (5/26). This group ride is suitable for all scooters, although there will be a few hills. Meet us at Thunderbird Coffee on Koenig at 9am. The group will leave at 10am and end at Jo’s on South Congress. We look forward to riding with you!

Everyone who participates in club events including (but not limited to) the group rides, annual events, and of course, the rally, has made the Austin Scooter Club everything it is today.
