Agenda

Don’t forget! The Wine Trail Scoot led by Oscar and myself is only six days away. We are still meeting at Lux Cafe and Bakery on William Cannon at 12:30 this Sunday.
Discussions are going on in the Forum about future long rides so stay tuned for more information.

It is time to experience a little bit of Tuscany in central Texas! “How are we going to do that?” you ask. Well the answer is simple –ride our scooters to a winery (or two). There will be wine, food, camaraderie, and most importantly, some serious scooter riding.
When: Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 12: 30 PM.
Where: Meet at Lux Bakery on William Cannon and Brodie Lane (by the Firestone and Hollywood Video).
1 PM: Ride out through some back roads and downtown Buda to arrive at Driftwood Vineyards.
2:15 PM: Taste some wines and enjoy the stunning views at the vineyard.
3:30 PM: Head up the street to Mandolo’s Estate Winery. Enjoy more wine and have a late lunch at their Tuscan restaurant.
5:30 PM: Take the direct route back to Austin.
This ride is for 125cc+ scooters only. Please wear closed toes shoes, helmets, and I recommend sunscreen. Check your tires, oil and arrive with a full tank of gas. The ride should be around forty miles before arriving at the first winery. Please vote on the official attendance thread in the forum. We need to get a head count for the restaurant.
